Group Psychotherapy
Online & in-person Cambridge, mA
Do you want more out of your therapy?
Supercharge your individual work by adding a group. Group provides a place where the members offer feedback, support, and challenge one another. You can engage with like-minded adults focused on improving themselves and their relationships.
Group psychotherapy is as effective first-line treatment as individual therapy and is often more efficient.
HI, I’M Jennifer DeSouza
I’m a certified group therapist in Cambridge with 13 years of experience running groups with diverse populations.
I have participated extensively in group training and have been a participant in therapy groups. My experiences led to my firm conviction that group heals and has the power to change lives.
What happens in group therapy?
In group, the leader facilitates connection and feedback between the members. This provides you with an array of different perspectives, experiences, and opportunities for reflection. The self-awareness and understanding you develop are a catalyst for growth.
Group therapy allows you to connect in real-time with people who, like you, want to address issues such as:
Enhancing emotional flexibility
Coping with loss
Improving relationships, communication, and boundaries
The best part of being in a group? You don’t have to do it alone.
“I was new to therapy when I started working with Jenn, and she met me with respect, candor, and generosity. Over the course of a year and a half, she and I built a relational space in which I experimented, learned, and grew on my own terms. I find confidence and motivation in the tools and takeaways I've walked away with.”

How do we get started?
Prior to beginning group, we will meet twice so we can get to know one another, discuss your goals, anticipate challenges, review the group agreement, and understand how I can support you.
